How should I take that???

As my faithful readers (haha, all four of you!) may know, Hadley has a personality on her. She is called the "lil' boss" by her teacher at school. When I picked her up from the nursery today, someone told me that she has an "interesting and fun personality...very content doing her own thing." Someone else in the service asked me how that "sweet and strong-willed" Hadley was doing. I usually respond with something cheesy like "oh I know, she is a tough one" or "she is out of control" or "she sure is curious." But I was so thankful to a sweet mother who gave me this advice today...

She said (in effect) that Hadley's personality is a gift and if she decides to become a Christian one day, she will go strong after Christ. She will not be fazed by the world around her and the silly things that draw us into ourselves or other nonsense, but she will confidently keep in step with her Savior and not let anything slow her down. She encouraged Bobby and I to provide a safe shelter for her as parents and allow our home to be a place of security that allows her to grow. But ultimately in those few minutes I learned a lot and was encouraged in our role as parents...
