Getaway to the mountains.

Bobby and I have every reason to celebrate...we just had our 3rd anniversary, I was turning 30, we are expecting our second child and we were going to the mountains in the Fall (my favorite) alone!! My sweet in-laws agreed to come to Charleston to keep Hadley for a long weekend while we got away. We talked and planned for our little getaway for weeks...but a little virus had other plans for us. The pictures speak for themselves...

Bobby did lift his head off the pillow to sing "happy birthday" and managed to bring along some sweet gifts. Thank you honey for your thoughtfulness...

It was a birthday to remember for sure.

I felt better on day two and went exploring on my own. I felt bad leaving Bobby behind, but it was a gorgeous day and he preferred the quiet, so off I went to breakfast, shopping, parkway drives and coffee downtown. It was really nice and I appreciated all the nice calls I got all day.
The last day was our best day...we put on a smile and made it to the Biltmore House for a tour of the gardens. What a place! It was gorgeous and I highly recommend going during Christmas despite the crowds.
