I have been slack in my posting lately, and to all my devoted followers, I am sorry (hehe!) I have taken lots of pictures, but getting from the camera to the blog always takes longer than I planned. So, as for the past month around here...
Someone celebrated a birthday and had my two trusty helpers there to make a wish, blow the candles and share in the goodness of the chocolate cake! {too tired to figure out the picture below} :)
On a similar note, I don't want to embarass Bobby, but I do want to point out that he is such an amazing husband---I announced that my birthday would be a weekend long celebration, not just a one day happy-happy nod type of birthday. Perhaps I have been too proud to announce that in the past, but word to the wise, there is no harm in letting your loved ones know how you want to celebrate. In my case, it started with coffee and sweetrolls in bed, a favorite workout class and downtown shopping with a friend. I was able to wonder into stores that I have never taken the time to do so before---on no schedule at all! We had a date that night and again, word to the wise, make time for your spouse---time alone to reconnect is so important for us in this go-go-go phase of life. We went to a nice Italian dinner downtown and talked and flirted and enjoyed each others company. On Sunday {ha, the actual birthday---poor Bobby probably wondering if it will ever end}, we went downtown that morning before church to walk and drink coffee and look at people's landscaping. I like to look at their houses too but we focused on yards this time. We went to church and time spent worshiping is like no other gift I could have been given. The man behind us in church could not be more different than me visually, but when it came to singing "His Name is Jesus" we both sang loud and I visualized what heaven would be like...people of all types joining together to sing praises to their King--what great hope and excitement that is to be assured of.
Hadley and MorMor in the kitchen {will fix these sideways pictures because too good to not be able to see right side up}
Hadley and Papa Ocean reading books and laughing...they look like they are up to something!
The girl and her outfits---the girl must put on 10 outfits a day. And then she literally waltzs out wearing this number--my shirt tied in a new way and a pair of leopard shoes and says, "time to go mommy?" I have tried to fight the battle of little girls being little girls and wanting to wear their momma's clothes, but I surrender this one and instead decide to wear my clothes like she does! {insert, joking}.
Burns, I am sorry. I will do better to fight this battle and keep her from dressing you up in silly little outfits too. You are too sweet to fight back, but count me in on your team from now on. A boy does not need to endure such humiliation. Mark, I feel for you now knowing Mom use to curl your hair!
And then we headed to Athens to see our favorite GA dawg...Hadley is squeezed in between us like she is one of the girls. Classic though, Chrissy was trying to teach Hads the "GOOOOO DAWGS" cheer and my lil' Ramsey quickly replied without skipping a beat, "GOOOO HEELS." That's right, blue blood.
We made it all the way there on a game weekend and didn't make it to the game---long story, but we did see the stadium and that was fun! {Again, sorry Burns, you were there and we didn't include you in the photo bc you were not feeling so hot} Thanks Chrissy for showing us around your "life in GA" and allowing us to take over your college house with pack n' plays, bottles and pint size shoes! You are so special to us!
Burns is feeling better now and giving me the look that truely melts my heart...do I see red hair in his future. If so, you better be sure I will draw on some freckles!
We had a good weekend with the Preston gang in Charlotte and got to "squeeze Ella's cheeks" as
Hadley says. Steph was in town and had some good time with her and her baby on the way.

And now we are resting up for Christmas because it is quickly upon us and the elves are busy decorating, wrapping and caroling.
nice to have you back!
