Bringing us up to speed...

It's July 1 and the days are flying by...a little too fast for my speed. It is good to look back at these pictures from only a few weeks ago and laugh at these two little miracles and all that they have been up to...


Burns, you are 8 weeks old today and I honestly cannot believe it...you have had one busy little life so far and from the looks of these pictures, you may not remember much of it...

You napped and we talked about how big your feet are...

You love bathtime and have fortunately only tinkled on my once so far, thank you...
Hads found a new spot to eat her afternoon snack...

Mark and Amy got engaged in Charleston and let us share in the excitement afterwards at dinner...

Burns, you too were excited, but napped...

Hadley had a doughnut breakfast party with her stuffed animals...

And we had visitors from out of town...Linda, Charlie, Mor Mor, Papa Ocean, Christina, Pap Pap, GiGi, Ella, Mark, Amy, Dean, Amy, Joy, Reba...

Burns, they came to see you & you napped...

And during it all we found a shark on the roof...

Chapman came to visit and Hadley was beside herself...

We threw a "French" birthday party...

And Hadley loved it all...the paint, the pool, the cupcake...

We laughed at friends in the background of pictures...

We sang "Happy Birthday" to these special girls and celebrated their very different personalities...

We made wishes...(ps-mine is that your next birthday does not come so soon)

We decorated the yard...

Burns woke up and laughed...

And tried to fall back asleep until this one decided she should wake him up again...

I wasn't thrilled, but how can you get mad at this face...

Burns knew to rest up for Pinehurst...

Because this is how we were welcomed by Uncle Buck...and that was only the beginning...

We threw a surprise 60th for my dad-friends and family were all there and we pulled it off...

The Soulmen dressed the part...

And the Klug cousins were together again for the first time in years...

The summer has been filled with a lot of big moment, big laughs, generous visitors, lack of naps, a ton of diapers, random animals on the roof, fresh summer food, small stresses, new babies and ones on the way (that we are patiently awaiting the arrival of)...and oh yeah, it is only July 1 afterall.
