Little Miss Curious.

Hadley is just shy of 8 months old and she is exploring her little heart out. She is obviously at the age where she cannot walk or talk, but she does not seem to notice or care because she has found a way of getting around just fine. She is up and down constantly. She is in toy baskets and under exersaucers daily. She is reaching for items on the shelves and opening cabinets to play with my make-up. She is pulling on the blinds and closing doors. And during it all, she is learning something new...

So Little Miss Tate, explore it all and learn away. You are lucky to have been given the spirit of many women I love dearly...a curious spirit that loves life and people & enjoys learning new things. The first people that come to mind are your great-grandmother (mom mom) who is 83 years young and when asked if she is up for traveling or learning a new hobby she quickly responds "absolutely." Your grandmother (Klug) went sky-diving last year for her wedding anniversary and although a little timid at first, loved the experience. Your grandmother (Heuber) jumps (no, not out of airplanes) but at the opportunity to meet someone new and invest in a friendship.

My hope for you is that you learn from these women and listen to their advice that is grounded in years of experience. Hadley you are a reminder to me that there is a world around us full of people and experiences that add to our lives. You inspire me to try new things and test my own limits. I have a list of things that I want to learn and I am excited to get going on them...that is, if you ever take a break and let me have a turn at exploring!
