We were in Pinehurst for Easter and went to Hadley's first egg hunt...there must have been 50 kids dressed in their Spring best and all 500+ hundred eggs were found, opened and put in baskets within 10 minutes. That being said, parents take a good-ole fashioned egg hunt pretty seriously too and I think I saw a dad or two sprinting to the eggs with their child no where in site. HT was not a big fan of the Easter bunny. I was a little surprised after her first experience with large overly-friendly animals (Uncle Mark as Elmo), but she didn't want anything to do with this bunny.
On the other hand, you ask the girl to smile for the camera and she is two inches away from the lens with a huge grin!
We have been enjoyed having a yard at our new place. Everything is blooming before our eyes and it has been amazing to watch. We hope to keep it all alive this first year, but making no promises. Hadley explores her little heart out...

We have a window above the kitchen sink that looks out on the backyard. Most of the time I get to see the birds or flowers, but lately I have been seeing a lot of this.

And every night when Bobby gets home, Hadley is at the door ready to go outside to help him with chores. She will follow him around talking a mile a minute without him having a clue what she is saying. He usually nodes his head and says, "that's right Hadley Tate" and goes about his business...soon enough he will realize that she is actually telling him everything about her day, including what she ate, what she saw on Pooh, what she played with, what shoes she is wearing, and on and on...the girl is all about the details and wants to tell you all about them.
I can totally picture Hadley following Bobby around. So cute! Memories I hope he will cherish forever...especially when she reaches that dreaded age where he becomes "uncool"!
